 Gulf Islands National Seashore
Nature trails, camping sites, picnic areas and the massive, pre-Civil War era fortress, Fort Pickens, are easily accessible now that Fort Pickens Road has reopened to the public. In addition, ranger-led programs such as snorkeling, stargazing, night walks and candlelight fort tours will be offered to the public throughout the summer.

Island Flavors
Island cuisine ranges from famous burgers, pizza and wings to Cuban sandwiches and a wide variety of fresh-from-the-gulf specialties. In fact, oyster lovers are drawn to the island where one popular restaurant serves up more than 1.3 million oysters each year, which equates to about 253 tons of the tasty treats on the half shell.
